Breaking 5th Asian Champions Hockey: Pak & Ind Declared Joint Winners
The final of the Fifth Hero Asian Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, Oman.was between Pakistan and India, the nations which have equally shared the four previous titles. So it was time to go one up.
Pakistan were appearing in the fifth consecutive final and India had missed just once. It was all to play for. But the match could not get underway due to continuous downpour and the two teams were declared Joint Winners. Toss decided that India will keep the trophy first i.e.for the initial half period.

Earlier,in the third position playoff, Malaysia defeated Japan on shootout after 2-2 draw. In the six team event, South Korea finished fifth beating Oman 3-1.
