WHO – World Health Organization has declared COVID – 19 as an Pandemic.
According to WHO announcement, WHO has been deeply concerned by the alarming levels of spread and severity of corona-virus outbreak.
Being alarmed with the increasing number of infections, the World Health Organization declared Wednesday that the global corona-virus crisis is now a pandemic.
At a briefing in Geneva, Switzerland the head of United Nations agency Mr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said the WHO is “deeply concerned by the alarming levels of spread and severity” of the outbreak. He also expressed concern about “the alarming levels of inaction.”
Thereby he announced that “We have, therefore, made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic,“ he said at a briefing in Geneva.
