Connor McGregor made a fierce comeback to the ring by defeating Donald Cerrone in the very first round of the highly anticipated fight of UFC 246.

McGregor established himself as the dominant one within seconds by lodging a brutal head-kick and it was a slippery slope for ‘The Cowboy’ from thereon.

The Irishman then followed up with relentless punches and the referee had to intervene ending the fight within 40 seconds of the starting bell.

McGregor was ecstatic after the victory and vowed to keep up the winning streak in 2020 and beyond.

The 31-year-old now boasts a proud professional record of 24-2 and is poised to be the headline fighter of the year 2020. Some expected fights include one against Jorge Masvidal for the BMF title or a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Earlier in the co-main event at UFC 246, Holly Holm downed Raquel Pennington with a unanimous-decision victory for the featherweight title.
