Breaking-Women’s Football World Cup ’19: USA Beats Netherlands In Final
US Women win against Netherlands 2-0 to clinch World Cup title for the fourth time.
The USA has won its record fourth Women’s World Cup title and second in a row, as they defeated Netherlads by 2-0 when Rapoinoe scored a penalty and Rose Lavelle doubled the lead.
One player from each team was already shown yellow card for fouling in first half.
Rapinoe scored first goal for USA in the 61st minute after a being awarded a penalty kick. Which was determined through video review, as Stefanie van der Gragt had fouled Alex Morgan in the penalty area.
Rapinoe shot perfectly and the ball quickly past goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal for her sixth goal of the tournament. She also became oldest player to score a World Cup final goal in women’s football.
Later at 69 minute left footed Rose Lavelle scored.
