Highlights:
· England’s Gymnast Nile Wilson successfully managed to win his fifth medal at the commonwealth games after he had already secured overall gold in the Gymnasticsevent.
· Pakistan secured its second bronze medal in the 105kg category as Nooh Dastagir managed to lift a total weight of 395 kg to win a bronze medal in the Weightliftingcategory.
· New Zealand’s Webster remains the champion in the 100m Sprint event as he successfully defended his title.
· Caitlin Parker, an Australian boxer handed England’s favorite Natasha Gala a stunning loss in the 75kg Boxing event.
· India showed exceptional skill as they claimed a Gold medal in the Mixed Team Event Gold Medal Match in the Badminton event.
· South African athletes Akani Simbine and Henricho Bruntjies dominated the 100m Athletics event as they won the Men’s 100m Final by winning Gold and Silver respectively.
· The Lawn Bowls event was won by Australia as they continued to rank on the top of the medal table.
· India’s Jitu Rai dominated the 10m Air Pistol Finals as he won a Gold medal for his country.
· In the Squash event England’s James Willstrop won the match against New Zealand’s Paul Coll to claim Gold for his country.
· Australia dominated the Swimming events as they won 4 Gold medals followed by South Africa whose athletes won 3 Gold medals in the event.
· India dominated the Table tennis matches as they won Gold in the Men’s semi-final and Men’s Team Gold medal match.
· South Africa and New Zealand broke into the top 5 after their athletes managed to dominate most of the events today.
