Highlights
· Jamaica and Kenya scored the most medals in the Athletics event as both countries took 4 medals each. Meanwhile, India added another Gold medal to their tally as Neeraj Chopra won the Men’s Javelin Throw Final match.
· In the Cycling Men’s and Women’s Road race event Australia and Wales took two medals each. While New Zealand and South African athletes won one medal each for their country.
· The Hockey event Australia had their revenge in the Men’s event as they beat New Zealand to claim a Gold medal. While New Zealand beating Australia to claim a Gold medal in the women’s event.
· The Gold medals in the three Shooting events were won by India’s Sanjeev Rajput, England’s David Luckman and Wale’s Micheal Wixey.
· In the Squash event Australia beat India in the Mixed Doubles Medal Match to win Gold. While New Zealand beat Australia to claim a bronze medal.
· England dominated the Table Tennis event by scoring three medals.
· The Wrestling event saw Pakistan’s Muhammad Inam winning Pakistan’s first Gold medal in the 86kg Gold medal match against Nigeria’s Melvin Bibo.
· The Badminton event saw Malaysian athletes scoring two bronze medals followed by Scotland, India and Australia who took one medal each.
· In the Basketball event Australia beat England by a considerable margin to win a Gold medal. Meanwhile, New Zealand beat Canada by 16 points to claim the Bronze medal in this event.
· England lead the Boxing event today as their athletes won 6 Gold medals today followed by Indian athletes who took three medals.
