Pakistan vs New Zealand ODI 2017 Series: Pakistan Squad Announced
Pakistan’s pace attack will be bolstered by return of Shaheen Shah Afridi to international cricket. The highly rated left-arm pacer had picked up a knee injury in July last year during first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle. He missed five Tests and three ODIs against England and New Zealand thereafter. His last international appearance was in the final of the T20 World Cup against England where he bowled 2.1 overs taking a wicket before he retired hurt in the 16th over due to knee injury. After completing the rehab, he captained Lahore Qalandars in the PSL – 8, where his team retained the title.
There are no major surprises in the nominated squads. Fast bowler Ihsanullah and spinner Usama Mir have been rewarded for their stellar performance in the recently concluded PSL-8.
