After alterations and postponements due to the Covid pandemic, the 7th T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 will commence from Sunday, 18th October 2021
The event was to be played in Australia during 2020, however, it was moved to India before again being moved to the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
This is the first time the two Middle Eastern countries are hosting such an event, in which 16 nations will be participating.

West Indies the two times event winner are the defending champions since 2016.

T20 World Cup Groups & Draws
The tournament will involve 45 games including the final, based on the groups as appended below.
The matches will commence for Round 1 Group B from Sunday, 17th October, while Group A will be played on Monday, 18th October.
In Round 1 of the event, the top teams of each group will progress to the Super 12s against the top-eight ranked T20 cricket nations.
Group 1 competition will begin on Saturday, 23rd October, followed by Group 2 competition beginning on Sunday, 24th October. Subsequently, Groups A and B will play matches on alternate days, until the semifinals begin on Wednesday, 10th November.
