BPL-Bangladesh Premier League becomes the latest victim of coronavirus pandemic. The BCB-Bangladesh Cricket announced that the 2020 edition stands canceled due to the C-19.
This decision was conveyed by the BCB president Nazmul Hasan while attending first edition of the three-team 50-over tournament at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Mr. Nazmul Hasan stated that BPL will not happening this year and the 2021 event will also be subject to the situation and conditions. The decision was primarily in view of the participation of international cricketers.
As to organizing BPL in an another country. Mr. Hasan mentioned that it is not possible due to the cost involved, which is not possible for BCB to bear.
