ECB-England and Wales Cricket Board has confirmed that ‘playing timing’ of the 3rd Test between England and Pakistan, will be revised to try and accommodate the weather conditions.
As per the new timing, the 3rd Test match scheduled on Friday, 21st August at the Rose Bowl, can start at 10.30 am local time. This would be 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled 11.00 am starting time.
According to ECB after the conclusion of play on the first or day of play, the match referee, ground staff and ECB Match Manager would discuss the starting time for the next day and if the weather forecast seems suitable, the play could commence at 10.30 am.
Further, the morning session would last two and a half hours if the start times are adjusted, while a total of 98 overs will be scheduled for the day.
To maximise the playing time the match officials would continuously monitor the light.
