ICC World Cup was announced yesterday and so the ground is all set for the major event to start from 30th May 2019 in England. A total of 9 teams including Pakistan, South Africa, England, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan, West Indies, India and Sri Lanka will be participating in it.
Nearly an year to commence, the pundits have already started making predictions. Allsportspk expert panel brings forth for its readers, the matches which are expected to have higher level of excitement and cannot afford to be missed.
1.Australia Vs India, 9th June 2019
Australia and India have had lots of One-day tours and almost all of them have been high scoring matches. The two teams are highly competitive and it’s truly going to be a nail biting contest between them.
2. India Vs Pakistan, 16th June 2019
The rivalry between India and Pakistan has been there for a long period of time. Pakistan have never won a World Cup match against India.
However, a recent champions trophy triumph against India will allow the green shirts to have an optimistic approach in this match.
3. England Vs Australia, 25th June
The rivalry between these two nations is much more than just an Ashes series that is held every year. Australia have always been the favorites in ODIs against England.
However, England have completely transformed their team and they are all set to give a tough time to the defending champions.
4. Australia Vs New Zealand, 29th June
New Zealand will be looking to beat Australia as they were the team which Australians demolished to clinch the World Cup in 2015.
The Kiwis will look to forget this loss by displaying their all-round cricket, a skill they have learned after their loss to Australia in the 2015 World Cup finals.
5. Afghanistan Vs West Indies, 4th July
No one imagined that Afghanistan would make it to the World Cup but they proved everyone wrong when they won the World Cup qualifier final against West Indies.
West Indies, who are surprisingly the weakest side in the tournament will look to turn things around by beating Afghanistan. All in all, it’s going to be a cracker.
