Japan will test the COVID-19 related anti-virus measures during three baseball games to be contested in presence of spectators in Yokohama Stadium.
This activity is part of the plan to ensure safe Tokyo Olympics 2020-21 games set to start on 23rd July 2021.
Yasutoshi Nishimura – Head of Japan’s COVID-19 Fight Task Force as well as Economic Revitalisation Minister, announced the testing measures. Elaborated that professional sports stadiums were recently tested at 50% capacity and significant results were obtained. Therefore, in next stage stadiums will be tested at 80% capacity.
