The men’s world No 1 Novak Djokovic confirmed that he has tested positive to coronavirus. In a statement, the Serbian stated that his wife, Jelena, also tested positive, whereas his children tested negative.
Novak after his Adria Tour which was held in Serbia and Croatia, has become the fourth tennis player to have tested positive for COVID 19. Prior to Novak confirmation, other participating players Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Victor Troicki including two members of Novak’s support staff have tested positive.
The exhibition tennis event was organised by Novak in Belgrade, Serbia and Zadar, Croatia. During the event the players intermingled freely with the fans, played basketball and participated in dances.
