The cycling competition 2020 GdI Giro d’Italia is set to commence from 3rd October and culminate on 25th October in Italy. GdI 2020 is the 103rd event of its kind.
The event was originally scheduled for 9th to 31st May but had been delayed due to the corona pandemic.
GdI is in the category of Grand Tour cycling stage race as per the UCI Union Cycliste Internationale.
Along with Tour de France, the GdI is considered as one of the top ranked cycling race events.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis the spectators will not be allowed and the participants will have to observe the strict SOPs Standard Operating Procedures issued by WHO World Health Organization and further refined by the tournament organisers.
