On Stage 5, Simon Clarke took triumph in Roquetas de Mar of the Vuelta an Espana as the breakaway rider won for the second day running. Clarke out-dashed Bauke Mollema and Alessandro De Marchi, who had assaulted from a sizeable breakaway with 60 kilometers remaining.
