FMC International Men Squash C’ship ’19: Seeded Tayyab Wins In Dominant Style
LAHORE: Top seed Tayyab Aslam (SNGPL) won the FMC International Men Squash Championship 2019, which was played at Punjab Squash Complex Lahore.
Tayyab outclassed 8th seed Danish Atlas in three straight games by 11/8, 11/6 and 11/4.
Tayyab dominated the game from the beginning. Danish worked hard and recovered to win one or two point but Tayyab came back strongly and won the match 3-0. Both players played competitive squash.
The winner of event received Rupees 300,000, the Runner up won Rupees 175,000. In total 24 players participated in this FMC International event.
After winning Tayyab Aslam speaking to the media commented that I work hard for this tournament. And appreciated that Punjab Squash Association is doing good for the promotion of squash and being a player of this club, I always try to play well.
Danish Atlas told the media that he tried his best and came back after some time, but being 8th seeded in this tournament it was great to play final. He appreciated in the manner Tayyab played.
Dr. Nadeem Muktar, President Punjab Squash Association briefed that Punjab squash has improved the quality of the courts during the last one year. All the development work on these courts has been completed and now these courts are state of art for squash. Besides, Punjab squash also makes an effort to support junior and senior players, which is evidenced from the fact that in Pakistan Squash Federation ranking, the top five most of our players are from Punjab Squash circuit.

In the final ceremony, besides the Chief guest – President Punjab Squash Association, the Secretary Punjab Squash – Sheraz Saleem, Treasurer – Tariq Siddique, Tahir Khanzada from Pakistan Squash Federation, Tariq Farooq Rana VP Punjab Squash were also present.
