In the Western Zone matches, Persepolis Football Club of Iran qualified for the final match of the AFC Champions League 2020 by defeating Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia. Persepolis qualified for the finals for a second time in three years span. The event was held at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, Qatar.
The Eastern Zone matches will commence from 18th November to decide the team which will contest the Final against Persepolis.
Abderrazak Hamdallah scored one goal for Al Nassr through a penalty during 36th minute of game. Six minutes later Mehdi Abdi Qara scored one goal for Persepolis. During the usual match time as well as the extra time the game was 1-1 draw so decision was taken on penalties. Persepolis scored 5 goals while Al Nassr scored only 3 goals through.
The main striker Isa Al Kasir of Persepolis was shown a red card and thereby he would face a six-month suspension from game.
In the past Persepolis was Runner up for AFC Champions League 2018.
