Barcelona Football club has appointed Ronald Koeman as their new head coach. Having signed a two-year-deal Koeman has resigned as manager of the Netherlands. According to the club’s official announcement, a team coach agreement has been signed with Koeman till 30th June 2022.
Barcelona had last week fired Quique Setien after being slaughtered 8-2, in the Champions League semi-final, by Bayern Munich.
Koeman has the experience of managing Dutch sides PSV Eindhoven, Ajax Amsterdam, and Feyenoord. Southampton and Everton in Premier League and Valencia in La Liga League.
The 57-year-old who is returning as a team leader to the Camp Nou, is regarded as a legend and hero in the Barcelona circle as it was him who won the European Cup.
