Football-Bundesliga: Week 19 Overview + Latest Points Table

The Bundesliga continued for Week 19. The main highlights are:

• The most watched game was between Bayern and FC Schalke where Bayern continued their five-game winning streak and thrashed Schalke 5-0. It too climbed to the second place as well. Bayern are well back in the competition after two thumping wins and are just one point away from the first place.

• Dortmund too came back again, this time thrashing FC Koln 5-1. Their emerging star, Erling Haaland starred again and scored two late goals, not only to seal the win with a greater margin but also bag the man of the match award too.

• Bayer Leverkusen thumped Paderborn Mainz 4-1 and are finally on the winning ways
• RB Leipzig was shockingly undone by Eintracht 0-2. It was after a long time that they suffered defeat, that too at the hands of a team placed very down on the table.
• Wolfsburg continued its poor run in the Bundesliga as it too lost again, this time against Hertha, at a score line of 2-1.
• Union Berlin defeated Augsburg 2-0 while Bayer Leverkusen too thrashed Fortuna 3-0.
• 10-men Paderborn beat SC Freiburg 2-0 and Monchengladbach too beat Mainz 3-1.
• On the other hand, Fortuna pipped Werder 1-0 while FC Schalke too undid Monchengladbach by 2-0 to finally win a game after drawing its last.

Week 19 – Points Table

Points Table Overview

• RB Leipzig retain their top spot despite losing their last game 0-2. They are just one point clear though of the first place.
• FC Bayern are now just one point away from the spot they must have been eyeing upon. Their last two big wins have slowly but surely ensured that they climb back to the place they deserve, and they are now just a point away.
• Monchengladbach retain the 3^rd spot and are 1 point away from the second spot and 2 points away from the 1^st spot
• Borussia Dortmund maintains its 4^th spot, while FC Schalke has dropped a spot back to the 6^th after being thrashed in their last game. On the other hand, Bayern Leverkusen has climbed to the 5^th spot and are looking good to make a comeback at this stage.
• Wolfsburg continues its poor show and has fallen another spot, this time to the 10^th now
