The French football club PSG Paris Saint-Germain became the first team to qualify for the semi finals of the Champion League 2020.
PSG won the quarter final for the very first time after 1994-95 by defeating Italian football club Atlanta 2-1. This was the first ever match between PSG and Atlanta.
The first goal of the match was scored by Mario Pasalic of Atlanta. It was during the last minutes of the game that the PSG’s defender Marcos Aoás Corrêa tied the game 1-1 with a late tap-in goal. Thereafter, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored the game-winning goal for PSG.
PSG reached UEFA Champions League semi finals in 1994-95 for the last time and have been unable to qualify through the quarter finals since then.
During the quarter final of this championship the PSG had psychological advantage over Atlanta due to their lead in points.

The Semi Finals will be played on 19th and 20th August.
The Final will be held on 24th August.
