The Brazilian footballer Thiago Silva has joined the Chelsea Football Club on 28th August.
Silva was previously attached with the famous French club PSG Paris Saint-Germain during 2012-2020. He scored 17 goals for PSG while mainly performing as central defender. He also served as captain of the club. PSG was runner up of the Champions League 2020 and lost the final match by 0-1 against Bayern Munich. His contract with PSG expired at the end of this season.
The 35 years old Silva has signed a contract of 1 year with Chelsea instead of renewing the contract with PSG. The new contract is renewable for another 1 year as per wishes of the parties. Frank Lampard, the manager of Chelsea inspired him to join the club. He is excited to play his next game at Stamford Bridge Stadium which is the home of Chelsea club.
In the past Silva has also played for the Italian football club AC Milan and facilitated his club to win the Italian Championship 2011. Silva has also been playing for the Brazil National Team.
