Iceland defeated Romania 2-1 to be among the 8 teams that will contest the Finals of the EUFA Euro Playoffs 2020.
During the semi final match, Gylfi Sigurdsson scored two goals for Iceland while Alexandru Maxim scored the only goal for Romania.
The 4 winners of these Euro Play Offs 2020 Finals will be among the 24 teams that will contest Euro 2020-21.
Due to the corona virus pandemic Euro 2020-21 will commence on 11th June 2021 and culminate on 11 July 2021. This will be the 16th event of its kind to be held in 12 venues across Europe.
