Romania sports ministry has reconfirmed that the rescheduled Euro 2020 tournament matches will be hosted in the capital city of Bucharest.
The championship till this edition has been hosted by a single country or with co-hosts. However, this time to commemorate the championship’s 60th anniversary, UEFA decided to apply a multi-city approach and thereby will be staged in 12 cities across the continent. Besides Bucharest, the other 11 cities are: Amsterdam, Baku, Bilbao, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Munich, Rome and St. Petersburg.
The RFF-Romanian Football Federation stated that it has also submitted a re-confirmation letter of hosting the European Football Championship matches to UEFA.
The Euro 2020 championship, due to coronavirus attack has been postponed until 11th June to 11th July 2021.
