It is like awakening of a giant body, all limbs slowly coming into full motion, flexing their muscles, gearing up for a coordinated move, coming-togetherness of all parts of the body! Very similarly, all across Europe, various national and local leagues start their seasons, the local and national leagues’ top ranked outfits then play in continent-level leagues. The battles continue to decide the best, jubilation for some and heartbreak for some but overall, entertainment of literary billions of fans across the globe.

This will be the first season in a long time without Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo playing in Europe.

The most glamorous and followed League played its MatchDay-2 from 18 to 20 August. In all, nine matches were played and the match between Burnley and Luton Town was postponed. The postponement took place due to improvement works at Kenilworth Road Stadiun (Luton Town). All the matches played produced results. In the early shocks of the season, Tottenham defeated Manchester United and Chelsea was beaten by West Ham United. The 3 new teams to join the top-tier league are Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton Town as Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton got relegated. MatchDay-3 will start on 26th August.
