Pele the football legend has passed away. His life journey ranging from 1949 to 2022, whose official name was Edson Arantes do Nascimento and nicknamed the Black Pearl, was three times World Cup winner for Brazil, is also till present the leading scorer with 77 goals in 92 games and had a huge pile of 1,283 career goals.
Pele started to glitter in the international stage during 1958 World Cup at the age of 17-year-old, netting six goals including two goals in the final.
According to his daughter, the football great Pele passed away due to cancer in Sao Paulo. In September 2021, Pele’s colon tumour was removed and since has been under ongoing treatment.
