The Turkish football club Besiktas has contracted the Brazilian defender and goal scorer Welinton Souza for 2 years.
The Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü had been one of the top ten sports clubs in Turkey since 1903 and also contests for Europa League. During Europa League 2019, Besiktas defeated Slovan Bratislava by 2-1.
On the other hand, the experienced centre-back Souza scored 3 goals in 27 games played for the Turkish club Alanyaspor during the last season. He had also played for two Qatari clubs Al Khor and Umm Salal. In addition, Welinton had performed for two Brazilian clubs Coritiba and Flamengo.
