UEFA Union of European Football Associations nominated Lucy Bronze, Pernille Harder and Wendie Renard for the UEFA Player Of Year 2020 award in women’s category. The winner will be announced during the Champions League group stage draw on 1st October.
The jury comprised of following journalists and coaches:
Jury For Nominations:
80 coaches – one each from the clubs which played Champions League and Europa League
55 journalists – one each from 55 member associations of UEFA based on judgment of ESM European Sports Media group
Lucy Bronze of England is now with Manchester City Women FC as right-back after leaving Olympique Lyon.
Pernille Harder of Denmark plays as striker for Chelsea FC Women while Wendie Renard serves as defender for Olympique Lyon.
UEFA Women’s Coach of the Year award nominees are Lluis Cortes – Barcelona, Stephan Lerch – Wolfsburg and Jean-Luc Vasseur – Olympique Lyonnais.
