KARACHI: The first mega event of 2020 the Gladiators 21st Inter School Scrabble Championship will kick off at BVS Parsi High School, Karachi on Saturday, 8th February.
Pakistan Scrabble Association announced that the event is being organized in collaboration with PSL Franchise Quetta Gladiators. As as a support several members of the Quetta Gladiators team including the captain Sarfaraz Ahmed will visit the venue to encourage the players.
After a days extension more than 1500 players have registered from all over Pakistan including a 20 member team from Quetta.
As per the rules, the Players are divided into 10 age groups and will play according to following schedule:
- Players aged 8 -12 will be playing on Saturday, 8th February.
- Players aged 13+ to 23 will be playing on Sunday, 9th February.
Winners of each category will be given VIP passes to the opening ceremony of PSL and also invited to the official dinner of the Quetta Gladiators team on 18th February.
All matches will be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube on the Sports Vision Channel. Running commentary will be done by a team of expert scrabble players including Taha Mirza, Aleeza Ahmed and Hammad Hadi.
