The American golfer Dustin Johnson has won the Northern Trust 2020 golf tournament by 11 shots. With this victory he has been elevated to the World rank of No 1. The 36 years old Johnson is the fifth person to claim the world number one slot in men’s category during the year 2020.
The Northern Trust is part of the PGA Tour with the prize amount of $ 9.5 million and the first tournament to be played for FedEx Cup.
His next target is the US Open set to begin from 13th September 2020.
During the Northern Trust 2020 the top five spots of the tournament were won by the American golfers namely Dustin Johnson -30, Harris English -19, Daniel Berger -18, Kevin Kisner -17 and Scottie Schuffler -16.
The former world champion John Rahm of Spain scored the sixth position in the tournament.
