- Both sides made a good start. But, it was PSG who took charge after Timothy Weah converted an assist from Kevine Rimane to finish it with a goal.
- The French club was now in the lead by 1 – 0. A comeback was imminent from the German club, however no goals were struck by Bayern Munich in the 1st half.
- In the 2nd half, a replenished Bayern almost equalized the scoreboard but unfortunately, Sandro’s header struck the crossbar.
- But, this was only the start of the German club’s attacks. As, 15 minutes into the second half Javi Martinez equalized the scoreboard by scoring off a corner.
- 8 minutes later, Renato Sanches put Munich in the lead by scoring off a free-kick.

- PSG were not being able to equalize and Munich upped the pressure by making continuous attacks.
- Soon, the 17-year-old, Zirkzee added his name to the goal scoring list by by netting his first goal at the 78th minute.
