- Bayern Munich were unlucky in their campaign, as Juventus eased past them to score a win in their first match of the International Champions Cup.
- Andrea Favilli emerged as Juventus’s hero as he scored at the 31st minute to put his team in the lead.

- The youngster appeared to be in red hot form, as 8 minutes later he curled a fine shot around the goal keeper to double the lead.

- Bayern Munich could not equalize in the first half as it ended with Juventus in front.
- In the 2nd half, Bayern Munich got numerous chances but despite their ball possession superior passing accuracy they were failing to score a single goal.

- This was the entire story of the 2nd half as the match ended and Juventus won by 2-0.

- Both Benfica and Dortmund, displayed excellent playmaking and football skills but it was Benfica who won it in the end.
- The 1st half was highlight of Dortmund’s dominance when Maximilan Philipp scored a goal at the 20th minute to put his team in the lead.

- This strike was doubled by Philip in 2 minutes as Dortmund doubled their lead over Benfica.

- In reply, Benfica could not score in the 1st half as it ended with the score being 2-0.
- The 2nd half etched a whole different story for Dortmund. As, Benfica struck early in the 2nd half through Almeida to make it 2-1.
- 18 minutes later, Semedo struck and leveled the scoreboard.

- After this point, no team could score and the match went into penalty shootouts which was eventually won by Benfica (4-3).
