- Soon the designated 90 minutes came to an end, and the match went into 2nd halve’s injury time.
- And, it was Alexandre Lacazette who struck 3 minutes into the injury time to draw level and force a penalty shootout with Chelsea.
A draw with Arsenal’s full strength first team from our fringe players not a bad result. Second half showed which players shouldn’t be at Chelsea. Fantastic first half in terms of football.

- Both teams were excellent in their penalties as each of their first five strikes found the back of the net.
- However, when Ruben Loftus-Cheek missed the sixth penalty shot, it all came up to Alex Iwobi who did not flutter and netted the ball to win the match by 6-5 for Arsenal.
Morata has easily been Arsenal’s best defender tonight, sweeping up Chelsea’s through balls and harmlessly booting it out of danger. Brilliant. ?
