ITF Pakistan World Jr. Ranking Tennis C’ship 2019: Boy’s Qualifying Round
ISLAMABAD: Sami Zeb Khan (PAK), VO, Hai Truong (VIE), Tran, Tin (VIE), Schurdevin, Lucas (FRA) moved into the Main Draw by winning their respective matches in the Boy’s singles qualifying of Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championships at S. Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad.
Sami Zeb Khan was the top seed and got BYE in the qualifying draw. In the second match Vo Hai Troung (VIE) eliminated Muhammad Sheharyar Ahmed (PAK) without conceding a single game in both sets. Another player from Vietnam Tran Tin (VIE) was also in fine touch and registered straight set win against Talah Chaudhry (PAK). In the third encounter of the day, Schurdevin Lucas (FRA) displayed quality tennis and won his encounter against Raja Azan Ahmed Sajid (PAK) and moved into the Main Draw of Boy’s U-18 Singles.
Main draw of Boys and Girls Singles will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday – 17th February 2019 at S. Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Garden Avenue, Islamabad. Most of the main draw player boys and girls from USA, Hong Kong, Turkey, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Korea, Germany, Kazakhstan, France, Russia, Philippines, Malaysia have arrived and had practice session.

Mr. Muhammad Arif Qureshi ITF White Badge Supervisor will make the draw after the personally sign-in by the participating players after the closing time of 6:00 PM.
Being held second consecutive year in Islamabad, the tournament is marked in the name of Late Syed Tajammul Abbas (Shaheed/Martyr) elder brother of Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas who got Shahadat while playing tennis at Sargodha Club in 1996.

- VO Hai Troung (VIE) beat Muhammad Shehryar Ahmed (PAK) 6-0, 6-0;
- Tran Tin (VIE) beat Talha Chaudhry (PAK) 6-0, 6-0;
- Schurdevin Lucas (FRA) beat Raja Azan Ahmed Sajjid (PAK) 6-0, 6-0.
