Lopetegui played as a goal-keeper and has an extensive coaching experience to his name. His coaching of Spain’s youth teams have been quite fruitful as he led the Under-19 and Under-21 sides to their European titles.
The good news for Real Madrid is that Lopetegui has worked with almost half of Real Madrid’s current team. So, the chances of mismanagement are almost zero.

Social Media Reactions To Julen Lopetegui as Real Madrid’s New Coach
Julen Lopetegui on Bale in 2015, “A player at Real Madrid has to give 100% all the time. If he doesn’t then he might as well leave. La Liga is totally different to the Premier League. A player like that wouldn’t get into my team.” Doesn’t sound good for the Welshman. #RM

So Real Madrid hire Julen Lopetegui to replace Zidane… the only club he’s coached was Porto from 2014-2016 and he won nothing.
The only trophies he’s won are titles with Spain’s youth teams…

According to Radio Marca the six Real Madrid players in Spain squad knew the news about Lopetegui and then one non-Madrid player got wind of it so Lopetegui was worried news was spread, he told Madrid and so they made it public immediately to prevent unrest.
