The monthly KBA Bridge Event is hosted by the Karachi Gymkhana every third Tuesday of the month on a regular basis to enhance Bridge popularity.
23 pairs competed for the Howel movement in the monthly K.G. Bridge Pairs held on Tuesday 16th May at the Club Venue.
None of the pairs could match the brilliance of the indomitable Lone Ranger (A.Muqeet), pairing with the highly experienced veteran A.K.Bhurgri. The pair competing from the North South position achieved a mammoth record score of 70.99% to come 1st, a position they maintained throughout combining admirably well to acquire the highest tops. 2nd position for the North South was taken by the highly rated pair of Shaheen Iqbal and Masood Mazhar.
From East West, it was the regular Pair of Gulzar Bilal and Farukh Liaqat who secured the 1st position with a percentage score of 69.1%, with the Runners Up from East West being the regular pair of Hussain Jaffar and Ashraf Kothari with a score of 60% From the Next, on KBA Bridge Schedule is the weekly regular Friday Pairs to be held at the Aslam Bridge Hall on 19th May at 6 p.m. sharp.
Besides the weekly events, annually there are two major Pairs & Teams events each at Karachi Club and Karachi Gymkhana. In addition, KBA also conducts a couple of preliminary Open Trials for selecting a team for international participation and Finals of All Pakistan National Trials under Pakistan Bridge Federation.
