In a small field of only 7 Teams contested the Weekend KBA Bridge Team Event held at the Aslam Bridge Hall.
The Crescent team comprising of the best female Bridge Player of KBA – the highly talented Fatima Raza playing with 4 of Pakistan’s top rated players of repute – Tehseen Gheewala, Hasan Askari, Hamid Mohiuddin and Mubashar Puri, it was a cake walk to Victory. All their adversaries were defeated massively in the 4 Rounds of a 12 – Board Contest, Crescent won the Day with a mammoth score of 66.57 out of maximum 80 available to come First. Trailing by almost a full match behind was the Runners Up Team of Bilal at 50.49 comprising of the efficacious Pair of the Lone Ranger (A.Muqeet) and Wajahat Suri teamed with the regular pair of Gulzar Bilal and Liaqat Farrukh. The third in line was the team of Farhat at 48.22 score . Besides Farhat, the team had the services of Anwar Kizilbash, Anisur Rehman and the veteran pair of Ghaffar Qureshi and Naseem Arzoo.
KBA: 28th April Bridge Contest
The next KBA Event will be the Tuesday Pairs scheduled for 2nd May to be held at the Aslam Bridge Hall.
Besides the weekly events, annually there are two major Pairs & Teams events each at Karachi Club and Karachi Gymkhana. In addition, KBA also conducts a couple of preliminary Open Trials for selecting a team for international participation and Finals of All Pakistan National Trials under Pakistan Bridge Federation.
