Highlights:

• A proper form of humiliation was done by Espanyol as they systematically destroyed the last ranked La Liga team; Malaga.
• There was no mercy shown by Espanyol as 4 of their goals came in the 1^st half of the match.
• Gerard Moreno opened the scoring at the 8^th minute and he was followed by Sergio Garcia and Leo Bapistao who scored at the 27^th and 30^th minute to take the lead by 3-0.
• However, some Malaga got some consolation after Adrian scored a successful penalty at the 39^th minute to open the scoring for his team.

• However, the deciding goal was of Enis Bardhi as Levante ended Barcelona’s winning streak.
• Levante had taken the lead in the first half as Boateng had scored 2 goals in the 1^st half and Barcelona’s Philippe had only scored one.
• But, no one knew that the 2^nd half was going to be the most exciting part of this match.
• As, Levante increased their lead by scoring 3 goals in 9 minutes to take the score to 5-1.
• It would have been humiliating for Barcelona but they were saved by Coutinho who completed his hattrick and then Suarez who scored a penalty at the 71^st
• However, all this effort could only take Barcelona to 5-4 as they could not score another goal to tie the match and keep their winning record intact.
• Maybe it was due to Lionel Messi’s exclusion, but the result was Barcelona’s loss in this match as Levante’s efforts won them the match against La Liga winners.
