The London Squash Classic 2024 for the first time will be played at the famous Alexandra Palace instead of the Canary Wharf Classic on the 2023-24 PSA World Tour calendar.
The major event featuring both a men’s and women’s draw, will take place between 27th March till 1st April 2024, at the renowned entertainment and sports venue, Alexandra Palace, which has also hosted other notable events such as the PDC World Darts Championships.
Since its launch in 2004, the Canary Wharf Classic became one of the most highly-anticipated tournaments on the PSA World Tour calendar, with the title being held aloft by World Champions such as Mohamed ElShorbagy and Nick Matthew, as well as former World No.1 James Willstrop. In 2022, New Zealand’s Paul Coll took the honours at the London-based event after defeating Welshman Joel Makin in the final.
Alexandra Palace located in London was built in 1873 but due to a fire after two weeks of opening, it was rebuilt.
