LAHORE: Nasir Jamshed is a left handed batsman who represented Pakistan in ODIs and T20 internationals. An aggressive batsman with the ability to play his strokes all around the wicket; Jamshed proved his mettle when he scored two consecutive centuries against India in 2012.
But after his form dipped he was dropped from the international side after which the batsman had diverted his focus to T20 leagues. But, he was caught among others in a fixing scandal after which PCB had charged with Anti-corruption code for a ban of one-year.
In February 2018, he was further issued a “Notice of Charge” with more violations of the Anti-corruption code. However, Nasir Jamshed refused to accept these charges after which PCB’s chairman Najam Sethi has formed a three member committee to look into the matter.
Whether Nasir Jamshed is guilty or not, only time will tell however, PCB’s strong stance against corruption shows that it cares about the integrity and the image of Pakistan Cricket.
