LAHORE: Pakistan Shaheens won by five-wicket from MCC – Marylebone Cricket Club, played at Aitchison College Ground, Lahore.
91-run partnership between Imran Rafiq and Hasan Mohsin was a major contributor in the six-wicket win. Imran and Hasan scored 66 and 49, respectively.
Shaheens reached the 205 runs target with 5 overs to spare. The innings had a shaky start as the opener Zeeshan Malik was out for a duck in the first over. However, a second wicket 43-run partnership between Omair Bin Yousaf (25) and Rohail Nazir (20) stabilized the Shaheens’ score.
In the bowling category, MCC’s Oliver Hanoon-Dalby took two wickets for 33. And Ehsan Adil took six wickets for 34 runs in MCC innings.
MCC batting’s fourth wicket 68-run stand between Will Rhodes (27) and Ross Whiteley (51) provided MCC the required flow, but Ehsan Adil broke the partnership by dismissing Rhodes.
The next match of MCC will be a 20 over encounter against the domestic T20 champions – Northern, on Monday-17th February at the Aitchison College Ground on Monday.
