To facilitate racers Volkswagen has launched new Golf Mk8 GTI Clubsport. The model belongs to GTI, GTE and GTD series of Volkswagen and is potential competitor for World Rally Championship.
The Golf Mk8 GTI Clubsport is the eighth Golf GTI generation with power output of 221 kW in front-wheel-drive sports cars category. The new more agile turbocharged engine – EA888 evo4 is featured in it which is capable of delivering 400 Nm of torque. On the software side Vehicle Dynamics Manager is installed it it to facilitate drivers. On the safety side it is equipped with standard electromechanical front-axle locking differential.
The 1st Golf GTI Clubsport was launched on 40th anniversary of iconic sports car in 2016.
