Bangladesh has asked Pakistan to host the test series between two countries on a neutral venue despite agreeing to play the T20 series in Pakistan.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO, Nizamuddin Chowdhury in an interview with a local newspaper said that they were ready to play the T20 matches in Pakistan but insisted that test matches must be played at a neutral location.
The news comes as a setback for Pakistan who just recently hosted Sri Lanka for a two-match test series in Rawalpindi and Karachi in December 2019.
Sri Lankan Players and officials had expressed complete satisfaction over the security situation in Pakistan and faced no problems during their two-weeks stay.
Earlier, PCB – Pakistan Cricket Board’s chairman Ehsan Mani had said that Pakistan will no more play their home matches in other countries and all cricket will be played in Pakistan form then on.
Bangladesh is scheduled to play three T20 matches in Lahore followed by a two-match test series early next year.
PCB management had earlier hinted at involving the International Cricket Council (ICC) if Bangladesh refuses to play the test matches in Pakistan on baseless grounds.
