At the end of the second round of 3rd Punjab Jinnah Development Tour Golf Championship 2020, Kashif Masih of Garrison Golf Club managed to appear as a possible winner with two rounds scores of gross 67 on the first day and gross 69 on the second day and an impressive aggregate of 136, eight under par. This youngster is barely 22 years of age and in a hotly contested professional golf tour event succeeded in showing his abilities as an upcoming player of merit. Once again during the second round he demonstrated the touch of a proficient golfer, hitting fifteen greens in regulation and scoring six birdies during the flow of 18 holes on Saturday. He did come across stroke losses on three holes, but these were neutralized through birdies.
In the second position lies Aadil Jehangir of Lahore Gymkhana whose name has started to appear amongst the prominent ones. This slot he attains by a round of 71 on the first day and again a 71 yesterday. With an overall aggregate of 142, two under par, he hopes to play amazingly well on Sunday to surprise the leader. Two more hot contenders at the aggregate score of 142 are M. Akhter of Islamabad and M.Azam of Quetta.
More participating competitors who hope to do well are Zahir Shah (Peshawar) and Latif Rafiq (Lahore Gymkhana) who are currently bracketed at a score of 143, one under par. From the scoring angle, Zahir Shah came up with best score of the second day with a round of 68, four under par and since he was three over par on the first day, he now stands at one under par, overall for the two rounds.
A few more in line for honors are Haseeb ur Rehman (Islamabad) and Syed Bilal (MCG). Raheel Ikram. They stand bunched together at a score of 144.
The cut was placed yesterday and 42 competitors earn the right to compete in the final round on Sunday at the PAF Skyview Golf Course. Prize Money for the 3rd Punjab Jinnah Development Tour Golf Championship 2020 event is Pak Rupees 1,000,000. Another attraction is a Motor cycle for a hole in one.
