Asjad Iqbal won the NBP 48th National Snooker Championship in a sensational final played at the Snooker Arena of the NBP Sports Complex.
A nerve-wracking 6-hour encounter, Asjad edged past Owais Munirullah to win the 2024 title by 7-6.

The frame score of winner Asjad Iqbal’s victory was 5-80, 99-14, 64-45, 64-08, 18-69, 42-64, 55-75, 42-55, 67-00, 71-21, 77-18, 48-92 and 55-40. Asjad Iqbal scored 72 in the second frame and 63 in the ninth frame, while Owais Munirullah scored 61 in the first frame and 92 in the twelfth frame.

National Bank Acting President Abdul Wahid Sethi alongwith Pakistan Billiard and Snooker Association Chairman, Alamgir Sheikh presented the trophy and prize money of Rupees 200,000 to Asjad Iqbal, the winner of the National Snooker Championship, and Rupees 100,000 to the runner-up Awaisullah Munir. While Babar Masih received Rupees 25,000 for playing a break of 142.
