Pakistan has climbed up to 3rd position in Test ranking of International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday after historic run-chase from them in the 4th innings of the first Test in which they made 450 in pursuit of the target of 490 runs.
Green shirts have been lifted from fourth position in the ranking despite losing Test against Australia in Brisbane. Had Pakistan chased down that target, they would definitely be sitting on the 2nd position (Pakistan’s current rating is 102) while Australia are the current No. 2 side ( current rating 105).
Whereas England has gone down from second position to the fifth ( their current rating being 101) , while India has strengthened its position at number one after 4-0 series ( with current rating of 120).
According to the new ranking, South Africa is on fourth position, New Zealand on sixth, Sri Lanka on seventh, West Indies on eighth, Bangladesh on ninth, while Zimbabwe is sitting on tenth position.
