Promising Umar Tariq of Mardan clinched the trophy of the Quaid-e-Azam Day Cycling 2020 event. The event was organised to pay rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Jinnah, the founder of the nation, on his birthday.
With participation of 60 cyclists, the 14-kilometer race was held in the city of Peshawar’s Northern Bypass Road.
Umar Tariq of Mardan reached the finish line of the 14-kilometer with clock time 23 minute, 36.11 seconds. Sajid Khan of Peshawar claimed second position with his clock time 23 minute, 49.10 seconds and Sadiq Ullah of Peshawar with his clock time 23 minute and 59.33 seconds finished at third position.
At the end of the Quaid-e-Azam Day Cycling event, Deputy Commissioner, Peshawar Asghar Ali alongwith President Pakistan Cycling Federation Syed Azhar Ali Shah gave away trophies, certificates and cash prizes to the winners and runners-up.
