Pakistan Rugby: Coaching Courses Conclude
LAHORE: The Strength and Conditioning Level II Course concluded here on Monday. Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) organized the course in collaboration with Pakistan Olympic Association (POA).
Earlier a Level 1 course was conducted by Head S & C Singapore, Rugby Thomas James.
International S&C Coach and Trainer Thomas James, while speaking on the occasion, said that he is very happy to be here in Pakistan. “Pakistani coaches have shown great interest in the course and I hope now a great number of qualified coaches will emerge from this region of the world, which is full of talent and there is a dire need to hunt and groom it.”
Pakistan Rugby: Coaching Courses Being Organised
POA Secretary, Khalid Mehmood lauded the efforts of Pakistan Rugby Union saying, “Every year, the PRU has been conducting a number of international courses and also holding a good number of national tournaments and sending their players abroad for international events. Under the dynamic leadership of Arif Saaed and Fawzi Khawaja and their team’s efforts, the game of rugby is flourishing fast in Pakistan.”
Also present were POA Secretary, General Khalid Mehmood and PRU President, Chaudhry Arif Saeed graced the concluding ceremony. PRU President Arif Saeed said that by conducting these international courses, Pakistan has now produced a number of qualified rugby coaches, which will certainly help Pakistan rugby a lot. “I hope Pakistan Olympic Association will continue supporting us and we will keep on holding such international courses and maximum national tournaments in Pakistan.”
