Tom Craig, the Australian midfielder hockey player was taken into custody due to allegedly trying to buy cocaine on Paris streets.
According to media reports, the Paris public prosecutors office confirmed that on Tuesday, two men have been arrested by police officers who had witnessed a cocaine transaction in the ninth arrondissement (adminstrative district) of the Paris. Supposedly, the two included the cocaine seller and a buyer born in Australia.
AOC-Australian Olympic Committee’s spokesperson confirmed while witholding the players name that an Australian hockey team member is in custody after being arrested in Paris on August 6th. Added that AOC is continuing to enquire and no official charges have been laid as yet.
