PSL 2019: Darren Sammy – Captain Peshawar Zalmi Team
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Zalmi management announced that Darren Sammy will lead the side this PSL 4. It is believed that his captaincy proved to be fruitful for the team as they won the PSL 2 and runners up in PSL 3.
The yellow storm will perform exceptionally well in PSL under his captaincy. Further, the inclusion of Misbah ul Haq would prove beneficial for Zalmi’s. A two time winning PSL Captain, Misbah will not only prove to be helpful for the youngsters but also help Darren Sammy with his experience.
On 20th November – Tuesday, the PSL drafts were held in which the two major picks for Zalmi were the T20 sensation Kieron Pollard in the platinum category and Misbah ul Haq in the Diamond Category.
It is noteworthy that the 38 year old,Muhammad Hafeez, one of the most proficient all-rounder of cricket is no longer playing for Peshawar Zalmi. The all-rounder announced his 3 year old disassociation with Peshawar Zalmi on his Twitter account few days before the PSL 4 Draft.
The team management includes: Head Coach Mohammad Akram, Team Manager Arshad Khan, Wahab Riaz and Kamran Akmal.

The three turkish cricketers who will be part of PSL 4 were also present at the drafts. They will fly with the team to Dubai and witness all the cricketing action and learn from the best. Peshawar Zalmi will also work for the development of cricket in Turkey after the MOU signing between Turkish Sports Federation and Zalmi Foundation.
