The Sapphire National Open Tennis Championship 2021 finals will be played on Saturday, 16th October at the Punjab Tennis Academy Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.
On Friday, in total 18 matches were played and the winners of different age group categories qualified for the finals of their respective categories.
Men’s Singles Semifinals:
SF 1: Aqeel Khan once again showed that why he is still No 1 tennis player of the country as he is so fit and consistent in his performances and that’s why he managed to beat young Shoaib Khan 6-1, 6-2.
SF 2: Spirited Muzamil Murtaza beat Huzaifa Abdul Rehman 6-4, 7-5.
On the other hand, Aqeel, partnering with Shahzad Khan, managed to clinch the Men’s Doubles title as the duo defeated the pair of Muzamil Murtaza and Mudassar Murtaza 6-3, 6-2.
Boy’s U-18 Semifinals: Faizan Fayyaz beat Mahatir Muhammad 7-6, 3-6, 7-6.
Girls U-18 Semifinals: Amna Ali Qayum beat Sheeza Sajid and Natalia Zaman beat Ashtafila Arif.
Girls U-14 Semifinals: Amna Ali Qayum beat Mahrukh 4-0, 4-0 and Zunaisha Noor beat Zara Khan 4-0, 4-1.
Boy’s U-14 Semifinals: Asad Zaman beat Shehryar Anees 4-6 ,6-4, 10-5 and Hamza Roman beat Husnain Ali Rizwan 6-3,6-4.
Boy’s U-16 Quarterfinals: Abdul Hanan Khan beat Hamid Israr 6-3,6-3, Uzair Khan beat Shehryar Anees 6-1,6-1, Bilal Asim beat Kamran Khan 6-1,6-1 and Asad Zaman beat Haider Ali Rizwan 6-2,6-1.
Boys/Girls U-10 Quarterfinals: Abdur Rehman beat Mustafa Uzair Rana 4-0,4-0, Zayad Zaman beat Fajar Fayyaz 5-3, 4-1, Hajra beat Ehsan bari 4-0, 4-0 and Shayan Afridi beat Aiman Rehan 4-0, 4-0.
Boys U-16 Semifinal: Abdul Hanan Khan beat Asad Zaman 6-4, 7-5.
Girls U-12 Semifinals: Zunaisha Noor beat Fajar Fayyaz 4-1, 4-0 and Hajra beat lalarukh 4-1, 4-2.
Boys/Girls U-10 Semifinals: Abdur Rehman beat zayad Zaman 4-0, 4-0 and Shayan Afridi beat Hajra 4-1, 4-0.
